I often hear  the same comments about telemark, from telemark skiers AND from alpine skiers:

  • Telemark Skiing is harder than alpine skiing.
  • It’s hard to go as fast on Tele gear.
  • You need awesome fitness to perform.

All this is true.

But this is not a reason to stagnate and not improve.

You get tired quads half way through a run, suddenly you ski defensively or even on survival mode and you see your alpine ski buddies from a distance…

  • How can you go faster?
  • How can you save energy?
  • How can you perform better?
